Lauren + Turner’s Moody Romantic Wedding Near Nashville
Lauren and Turner dreamt of having a summer wedding. They chose September 7th, 2024—a date brimming with significance as it marked three years since they began their journey as a couple.
Lauren, from Michigan, and Turner, from Texas, shared their forever vows with their black and white summer wedding in Franklin, Tennessee.
The morning of Lauren and Turner’s wedding was filled with excitement and anticipation. Summer in Tennessee is a beautiful time of year, with the fresh air and full garden foliage creating a picturesque setting. Lauren and Turner’s wedding day embraced everything that makes summer so special, offering the perfect atmosphere for their romantic day.
Getting Ready
Lauren’s bridal bouquet featured a delicate mix of quicksand roses, white anemones, blushing bride protea, plum ranunculus, and other blooms in blush, ivory, and burgundy tones. The dynamic mix was full of color and texture, making a bold statement that perfectly fit with the black, white and red style.
Turner channeled Tom Schwartz for his groom style with his dark green jacket, adding a modern and playful twist to their elegant fall aesthetic. For Lauren, a special trip to with her girlfriends to Kleinfeld in New York City set the tone for her stunning look, combining timeless sophistication with big city style.
the ceremony
The ceremony space echoed the palette, with gold urns holding dramatic floral arrangements of roses, snapdragons, chocolate lace flowers, and continuous foliage. These arrangements framed the ceremony platform and extended down the aisle, creating a moody, romantic atmosphere that blended natural beauty with elegance.
When Sidney, one of our talented wedding planners, met Lauren and Turner, they envisioned their day as an intimate yet vibrant gathering where their family and friends could enjoy delicious food and dance the night away. The design of the wedding was nothing short of breathtaking.
the reception
The reception was equally stunning. Under the pavilion, four corner draping brought an elegant and cozy vibe. Round tables dressed in black linens were paired with black Chiavari chairs and set with black lacquer chargers, white dinner plates, and noir matte flatware. Lauren and Turner’s sweetheart table, a sleek black farm table, stood as a centerpiece of their celebration, surrounded by an inviting blend of leafy greens and warm lighting.
Outside, cocktail tables by the pond offered guests a chance to mingle while enjoying the serene garden setting. The entire space reflected the couple’s love of fall’s moody tones and sophisticated design, creating an environment that was both cozy and luxurious.
Bringing their vision to life required a talented team. Flower Girls Floral Design created the stunning arrangements that defined the day’s aesthetic. Lauren and Turner chose a stunning cake from Baked in Nashville, a bakery known for its incredible craftsmanship and delicious flavors. The cake was not only a centerpiece at their reception but also a sweet reflection of their wedding’s moody and romantic vibe. Every detail, from the design to the flavors, added a personal and elegant touch to their celebration.
After an evening filled with lively dancing, heartfelt toasts, Lauren and Turner’s wedding day came to a magical close. Surrounded by their loved ones, the couple made a joyful exit, the perfect ending to a day that celebrated their love and the start of their new life together. It was a moment filled with excitement, laughter, and the promise of many beautiful years ahead.
