The Story Behind CJ’s Off the Square

CJ’s Off the Square was created with a simple belief: the most meaningful gatherings happen when people feel genuinely welcomed, cared for, and fully present with one another.

At a time when most venues simply rented the space, founder CJ Dickson envisioned a full-service approach that combined planning, coordination, dining, and event services in one unique setting.

From the garden pathways and glowing string lights to the candlelit pavilion, every space was created to encourage connection and meaningful shared experiences.

For more than 20 years, our team has combined thoughtful planning with personalized service to create celebrations that feel elevated, approachable, and deeply personal.
