Whimsical Nashville Garden Wedding in Coral, Peach, Copper and Dusty Blue | September 29
“We looked at 8 venues before going to CJ’s for the first time. As soon as we met CJ and toured the venue, we knew this was the place for us. This was the best decision we could’ve made for our wedding. Planning was FUN and NOT stressful! My planner helped me plan every step of the way, kept me on a good timeline, gave honest input, and went above and beyond constantly. I was so happy and calm on the day …My guests talking about it even months later. It was a dream come true.” – Katie
Katie + Trey’s Fall Garden Wedding in Franklin, TN
When we started working with Katie and Trey to design and plan their wedding, Katie had a clear vision for their color palette: Dusty blues, copper and coral. Yes please! These colors perfectly accented their wedding with pops of blue in the bridesmaid’s dresses and groomsmen’s ties to copper and peach tones running through the décor and flowers. She and Trey also had a love for all things Disney. So we had fun incorporating some “Hidden Mickey’s” throughout the day.

The First Look
The Sweetheart Table
One of our favorite elements in the reception was a one-of-a-kind sweetheart table with custom copper sculpture designed to mimic Cinderella’s carriage. Amazing! Since their sweetheart table was the focal point of the reception, the couple opted for loose greens and a few blooms tucked within Katie’s copper décor pieces on their reception tables.
Reception Lighting as a Focal Point
At the center of the room we featured an Edison Bulb Chandelier by our friends at Nashville Event Lighting adorned with greenery and flowers from the Enchanted Florist team. This custom lighting installation tied the entire look together and helped achieve a rustic, southern aesthetic.
Being from New Orleans, Katie wanted to incorporate the tradition of Cake Pulls into their wedding cake. This southern tradition gets its roots from an old Victorian tradition of “ribbon pulling”. Each cake pull features its own sterling charm and is placed inside the bottom tier of the wedding cake. The bride then invites her single lady friends-cue All My Single Ladies by Bey-to pull a charm from the cake right before cake cutting. We love when couples incorporate traditions like this! Can you spot any “Hidden Mickey’s” on the cake?
