Jocelyn + Tom’s Fun and Colorful Summer Wedding with Plenty of Modern Flair
Are you ready for one of our favorite weddings to date? Jocelyn and Tom met on a blind date (which lasted for 6 hours!) and immediately knew they were perfect for each other. With such a unique start to their relationship, they clearly needed a unique wedding to mark the start of their forever! This couple had a vision for a bright, modern summer wedding full of jewel tones and lots of fuchsia, which really came to life with their floral arrangements. Jocelyn was a very busy bride-to-be, she actually graduated grad school the day before, but everything pulled together seamlessly for a day we are all sure to remember!
Getting Ready
Jocelyn stunned in her lace plunge empire waist gown and Tom rocked a custom cobalt blue tux the cutest personalized socks with their pup’s face on them. Obviously, this power couple likes to have fun!
The Wedding Party
Bridesmaids wore fuchsia gowns and groomsmen sported matching ties for a large wedding party that had all eyes on them. Could these bright hues have come together any more beautifully?
The Venue
Summer weddings at CJ’s Off the Square enjoy lush and bright greenery throughout the property. String lights throughout the garden and a grand sitting area near our koi pond were perfect accents for this modern wedding.
Wedding Day Details
Bright floral invitations set the tone for this stunning wedding and fun touches like custom cocktails named after the couple’s beloved pets really let their personalities shine. Luxurious velvet linens on round tables were the perfect backdrop for the marble chargers and vibrant floral centerpieces. The real star of the show, however, was this incredible geometric geode wedding cake! Talk about WOW.
On a more sentimental note, we loved the small memorial we created to include Jocelyn’s father in the big day. Yellow roses were the way Jocelyn remembered her dad so we incorporated them into a display which included his picture as well as the ceremony flowers. It was simple but oh-so-sweet and very touching for our bride and her family.
The Ceremony
If you need a cute ring bearer for your wedding, consider hiring one of these cuties! Their custom signs and hot pink suspenders paved the way for the bride and kicked off this couple’s super short ceremony. Jocelyn and Tom wanted to maximize dancing and reception time so they kept it short and sweet with their exchanging of vows.
We love to incorporate fur babies in our weddings and Jocelyn and Tom’s pup was happy to make an appearance. Check out that little tongue sticking out for photos!
The Reception
The fun really began with the reception. Bright florals continued into the garden reception space and were the perfect backdrop for the newlyweds on their first dance. This wedding was one to remember and the couple even hired an artist to capture the moment with a custom portrait of the reception space. We had so much fun working with Jocelyn and Tom and wish them (and their fur family) all the best in the years to come!
