White, Grey and Blue Destination Wedding Near Nashville | September 15

Meghan & Zach’s Summer Garden Wedding in Franklin, TN
Today let’s chat about the power of compromise. Our bride, Meghan, is from North Carolina and our groom, Zach, is from Iowa. So how in the world do you choose a wedding location when you literally have family all over the United States? A compromise, perhaps?
Logistically, Nashville seemed to be a great choice for their destination wedding as it would be fairly easy for the majority of their families to travel. Now, for the sweetest reason behind their choice: It’s one of the couple’s favorite cities and is the city where Zach first told Meghan he loved her. SWOON!
Since the couple lives in Los Angeles, we did a lot of long distance planning with them. Because they both work in the airline industry, they were able to travel for some of their meetings as well which was also a huge help. Something that really stood out to us as planners was how in sync these two are. They were both involved in the design decisions and always took each other’s thoughts and opinions into account. What a powerful pair these two will be as husband and wife!

Their Swoon-Worthy Reception Style
Meghan and Zach went with a soft color palette of grey and white with accents of cornflower blue and touches of greenery. The grey textured linens, white Chiavari chairs and draping were all key components in creating a soft, airy and inviting feel for their reception. So romantic!
A Summer Garden Wedding Ceremony
Upon arrival, guests were welcomed on our historic front porch with champagne. This set the tone for what was to be a laid-back yet polished affair.
During cocktail hour, guests nibbled on some southern favorites like pimento with pickle bites and shrimp and grits. And we can’t forget about their oh-so-yummy late-night snack… Nashville hot chicken sliders! Aside from the delicious food and a gorgeous wedding design, the most memorable part of Meghan and Zach’s reception was that they made a point to spend as much time with their family and friends as possible; not only to thank them for traveling from all over for their special day, but also to celebrate the unconditional love they have for each other and for their friends and family. Cheers to the happy couple!
