Summer Tasting Experience at CJ’s Off the Square | August 10th
Discover the CJ’s Off the Square Planning Experience
CJ’s Off the Square recently hosted an exclusive tasting event, giving couples and event planners a sneak peek into the artistry and quality of services available at our venue. The experience was tailored with meticulous details, curated to inspire every aspect of the celebration.
From food & drink, to decor & entertainment, our clients got to experience the venue like a guest and see first hand the many ways they can customize their wedding or event at CJ’s Off the Square.
Here’s a closer look at the event’s fun, summer look and our incredible team who made it all come to life.
Bringing the Garden Inside
The event began with a welcome cocktail on the front porch of our historic home. Next, each couple were taken to their table where the menu tasting part of the event began with a selection on appetizers.
After sampling our dinner menu and experiencing our signature seated dinner service, our guests made their way outside to the pavilion and garden to meet and greet some of our favorite wedding professionals.
The design for the tasting event was all about bright, fun, summer colors. We used the colorful Four Seasons Floral linens, featuring a lush floral design that complemented our outdoor venue.
At CJ’s Off the Square, no two events are the same. Every client has the opportunity to customize the style of their event with selections from our in-house design showroom.
We selected style options with a classic, elegant, but not too stuffy feel. We paired the Abby Fine Silver flatware and the Darcy collection of salad, dinner, and dessert plates. For a laid back luxe touch, we used the Lucia Frayed napkins, draped with care across each setting, adding texture and cohesion to the overall design.
Vendor Meet & Green in the Garden
One of the things we enjoy most about our tasting events is connecting our clients with talented wedding professionals who understand our space and are guaranteed to always go the extra mile for our clients.
Our tasting events allow our clients an opportunity to not only meet and chat about options and ideas in a casual setting, but to also experience their talent first hand.
Adding a touch of personalized charm, Claire White from White Ink Calligraphy was on hand to share designs from her custom print shop while also engraving gifts for our couples in person with her steady, elegant hand.
To showcase a fun add on to any event, our friends at Sweethaven Ice Cream came by with their darling ice cream cart.
Our friends at Premier, the Entertainment Company were also on hand providing live entertainment and other fun event options like their sparkling fountains.
Setting the Scene for Your Garden Wedding Ceremony
In addition to sampling the menu and meeting some of our favorite creative partners, we also set the garden up to show what a wedding ceremony could look like in our newly renovated garden.
In the new and improved space, we can seat up to 135 guests for your wedding ceremony with a small stage to provide just enough elevation so everyone can see and hear each moment. We have an iron arch that you are welcome to use (shown in the photos below) or you can work with your florist to create your own ceremony focal point.
For this event, we partnered with Something Borrowed Blooms to showcase a faux floral look that won’t wilt when placed in direct sunlight. Perfect for summer garden weddings! With Something Borrowed Blooms, expertly arranged by Sara at The Petite Petal, you get the look you love with zero anxiety about the weather.
Meet Team CJ
And of course, one of the things we love most about our tasting events is getting time to connect with our couples and just enjoy the space together. While our couples usually have most of their communication with their planner, our tasting events give everyone an opportunity to meet the entire team. Pictured left to right:
