Nicole + Duane’s Earthy Fall Wedding in Hues of Burgundy, Blue, & Green
Nicole and Duane’s relationship is anything but average, so clearly their wedding had to be incredible. These two met while serving in the Army in Korea, spent years long distance, meeting up in locations across the world, were engaged on a trip to Spain, and finally settled together in Washington state. With a story like that, we couldn’t wait to plan this destination fall garden wedding for them! Despite a last-minute rainstorm, the entire day went off without a hitch.
Getting Ready
The bridal dressing suite at CJ’s Off the Square offers a relaxing space to enjoy getting ready before the ceremony. Nicole enjoyed spending these moments before her wedding with her mom and bridal party as she fought off her last-minute nerves.
The First Look
The moment that Duane first saw Nicole before their wedding was truly magical. Their love was palpable in the air!
The Portraits
Nicole was truly a stunning bride. Her lace gown with sheer cutouts and long train were magnificent, finished off with a braided hairstyle and flower crown. She truly embodied an earthy goddess for her fall garden wedding! The bridal party wore mismatched gowns in complementary accent colors and the groomsmen wore tuxedos in the perfect blue.
The Details
Warm floral arrangements and lots of greenery really made this space! We did our best to really capture the earthy feel that Nicole and Duane hoped to have and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
The Ceremony
At the last minute, it started raining and we had to make some changes to the ceremony. We moved it under the pavilion and it was magical! Everything went off without a hitch and Nicole and Duane still got the beautiful garden ceremony of their dreams. Not to mention, they got some great photos in the rain afterward!
The Reception
Nicole and Duane were really looking forward to their reception; it’s not often they get all of their friends and family together in one place. The newlyweds danced all night and ended the evening with a sparkler send-off.
