Lydia & Jon-Cody’s Intimate Nashville Nuptials In Shades of White, Cream and Green

Romance was certainly in the air at CJ’s Off the Square when we celebrated Lydia and Jon-Cody’s big day. With family that traveled far and wide to watch them tie the knot, this couple wanted to keep their destination wedding classic, timeless and extremely personal. The goal was an un-fussy yet elegant feel in order to let the couple’s love be the shining light of the day. From the sentimental touches to an overflow of beautiful white blooms, we feel that we accomplished just that!

Lydia wore a custom gown from Modern Trousseau (complete with the couple’s names and date embroidered inside) with her gorgeous “something blue” heels. She looked stunning next to her bridesmaids in their rich teal-green hued gowns and matching cream bouquets.

The Ceremony

This match made in heaven met at Rhodes College in Memphis while both participating in the Model United Nations program. Now, they live together with their Border Collie pup in Washington D.C. where Jon-Cody is a Data Science Consultant and Lydia works as the Manager of Industry Affairs and Sustainability for USA Rice. They came to us with a vision of an traditional, elegant garden wedding filled with personal details. And it was a pleasure to help them bring that to life in our historic home and garden located just south of Nashville in historic Franklin, TN.

The Wedding Style

Lydia and Jon-Cody brought many sentimental touches to their charming destination wedding. Crisp and clean floral arrangements accented the couple’s love rather than distracting their guests from the occasion and other simple touches like handmade table numbers and heirloom toasting flutes brought with them a whole lot of meaning.

The bride and groom used crystal toasting flutes from Lydia’s parents’ wedding, as well as antique silver cake cutting utensils. Party favors included custom cookies that celebrated two of Lydia & Jon-Cody’s favorite things: Rhodes College and their Border Collie, Cooper. Lush cream and moss green floral arrangements flooded the venue and accented the rich wooden touches throughout the space to create the perfect setting. The little things truly counted the most.

The Reception

After cutting the cake with Lydia’s mother’s antique silver cake cutting utensils, everyone let loose on the dance floor. Group hugs and lots of laughs made for a night that is truly one to be remembered.
